FundMyMusic Terms and Conditions

Effective date: 1 September 2026

1. Introduction

Welcome to FundMyMusic.

FundMyMusic is owned and operated by Tactus 360 Norge (‘FundMyMusic’, ‘we’, ‘our’ or ‘us’).

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the FundMyMusic website, including the creation and management of fundraising campaigns, the making of financial contributions, and all related services provided through the platform.

By creating an account, publishing a campaign, making a contribution or otherwise using FundMyMusic, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions together with our Privacy Policy and any other policies published on the website.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not use FundMyMusic.

2. Purpose of the platform

FundMyMusic is a specialist funding platform dedicated to musical, educational, scholarly and cultural projects.

Unlike general fundraising websites, FundMyMusic is designed specifically for musicians, ensembles, composers, scholars, students, publishers, festivals, educational organisations and other creators working within the wider musical community.

FundMyMusic provides an online platform through which creators may present projects and receive voluntary financial contributions from supporters. FundMyMusic is not a charitable organisation and does not itself fund projects.

3. Definitions

For the purposes of these Terms:

  • Campaign means a fundraising project published on FundMyMusic.
  • Creator means the individual or organisation responsible for a campaign.
  • Supporter means a person or organisation making a financial contribution to a campaign.
  • Contribution means a voluntary payment made in support of a campaign.
  • Funding target means the financial goal displayed on a campaign page. It is chosen by the creator for guidance and planning purposes.
  • Funding period means the published period during which a campaign accepts contributions.
  • Featured Campaign means a campaign that automatically receives enhanced visibility as part of the AI-Enhanced Campaign Plan described in these Terms.
  • Platform fee means the commission retained by FundMyMusic from successful contributions in accordance with the published pricing.
  • Stripe means the third-party payment provider used to process financial transactions.

4. Eligibility

Creators and supporters must be at least eighteen years of age, or otherwise have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements under the laws of their country of residence.

Creators are responsible for ensuring that their campaigns comply with all laws, regulations, licensing requirements and tax obligations applicable in their own jurisdiction.

FundMyMusic may request reasonable evidence of identity where this is required for payment processing, fraud prevention, legal compliance or platform security.

5. Accounts

You may browse FundMyMusic without creating an account. However, an account is required to create, manage or renew a campaign.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity carried out using your account.

You must provide accurate, complete and up-to-date information when registering and keep those details current.

FundMyMusic may suspend or close an account where we reasonably believe that it has been created using false information, is being used fraudulently or is otherwise in breach of these Terms.

6. Refusal of access

FundMyMusic reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to refuse, suspend or terminate access to the platform, or to decline the publication of any campaign, where we consider this necessary to protect the platform, its users, our legal obligations or our legitimate business interests.

Except where required by applicable law, FundMyMusic is under no obligation to provide reasons for such decisions.

7. Creating a campaign

Campaigns must relate to genuine musical, educational, scholarly or cultural projects and must accurately describe their purpose, funding requirements and intended use of contributions.

Creators are responsible for ensuring that all information provided is truthful, complete and not misleading.

FundMyMusic reserves the right to request additional information before publishing a campaign or at any time while it remains active.

Publication of a campaign does not constitute an endorsement, recommendation or guarantee by FundMyMusic.

8. Creator responsibilities

Creators are responsible for keeping their campaign information accurate, lawful and up to date throughout the funding period.

Creators must hold all rights, licences and permissions necessary for the text, photographs, illustrations, audio recordings, videos, logos, trademarks and all other material included in their campaign.

Creators remain solely responsible for the delivery, management and completion of their projects and for keeping supporters informed of significant developments.

FundMyMusic provides the platform through which campaigns are presented but accepts no responsibility for the management, delivery or completion of individual projects.

9. Funding targets and funding periods

Each creator determines the funding target displayed on the campaign page. The funding target is intended to indicate the level of financial support sought and does not constitute a guaranteed minimum or contractual promise.

Reaching a funding target does not automatically close a campaign. Contributions may continue until the published funding period ends.

Campaigns operate within defined funding periods rather than remaining permanently open. This helps supporters identify actively managed projects and encourages creators to keep campaign information current.

Creators receive reminders before the funding period expires. During the final seven days of a funding period, or after it has ended, a creator may renew the campaign for a further 30, 60 or 90 days by publishing a progress update.

If a campaign is not renewed, it will be marked Closed and no further contributions may be made until the creator renews the campaign in accordance with these Terms.

10. Content standards

Campaigns must accurately represent the project for which funding is sought.

Creators must ensure that all material published through FundMyMusic is accurate, lawful, respectful of the rights of others and suitable for publication.

Material submitted to FundMyMusic must not:

  • contain false or misleading information;
  • infringe copyright, trade marks or other intellectual property rights;
  • invade another person’s privacy or confidentiality;
  • contain abusive, threatening, defamatory or discriminatory material;
  • promote violence, hatred, terrorism or criminal activity;
  • contain pornography or sexually exploitative material;
  • contain malicious software or harmful links; or
  • otherwise breach applicable law.

FundMyMusic reserves the right to remove, edit, suspend or refuse any material that, in our reasonable opinion, breaches these Terms or may adversely affect the integrity, security or reputation of the platform.

11. Illegal material and reporting

FundMyMusic prohibits the publication of unlawful, abusive, exploitative, fraudulent, defamatory or otherwise inappropriate material, including text, photographs, illustrations, audio recordings, video, links and other content.

Where FundMyMusic reasonably believes that material may be unlawful, or that a user may be engaged in unlawful activity, we reserve the right to remove the material immediately, suspend or terminate the relevant account or campaign, preserve relevant records where permitted or required by law, and report the matter to the appropriate authorities in the relevant jurisdiction.

This includes, without limitation, material that is pornographic, depicts or promotes child sexual abuse or exploitation, incites violence or hatred, infringes intellectual property rights, facilitates criminal activity or is otherwise prohibited by applicable law.

12. Editing and moderation

Creators may update their campaigns through their private management link.

Changes will normally appear immediately. However, FundMyMusic reserves the right to review, correct, hide or remove material where this is necessary to comply with these Terms, protect the platform, safeguard users or comply with applicable law.

FundMyMusic may suspend a campaign, request further information or require amendments where there are reasonable concerns regarding legality, accuracy, intellectual property rights, platform security or user safety.

13. AI-assisted content

FundMyMusic may provide optional AI-assisted tools to help creators prepare campaign descriptions, project updates and promotional material.

The use of these tools is entirely optional and forms part of the standard platform service.

Creators remain solely responsible for reviewing, editing and approving all AI-generated content before publication.

FundMyMusic does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or suitability of AI-generated material and accepts no responsibility for content published without appropriate review by the creator.

14. Contributions

All financial contributions made through FundMyMusic are voluntary.

A contribution does not create any ownership interest, investment right or financial entitlement in the creator, the project or FundMyMusic unless expressly stated within the campaign itself.

Supporters are responsible for reviewing the campaign description, funding breakdown and project updates before deciding whether to make a contribution.

FundMyMusic does not guarantee that a project will be completed, that it will achieve its stated objectives, or that any contribution will produce a particular outcome.

15. Payments

Payments are processed securely through Stripe using Stripe Connect.

FundMyMusic does not receive, process or store supporters’ payment card details.

Platform fees and Stripe’s payment processing charges are deducted in accordance with the pricing published on the FundMyMusic website.

Creators are solely responsible for any taxes, reporting obligations or regulatory requirements arising from funds received through the platform.

16. Platform fees

There is no charge to create or publish a campaign on FundMyMusic.

The published platform fee is deducted only from successful contributions received through the platform.

Every campaign is published under one of two Campaign Plans, chosen by the creator when the campaign is created: Standard, with a 5% platform fee, or AI-Enhanced, with a 7% platform fee. AI-Enhanced campaigns automatically receive Featured Campaign status together with AI Writing Assistance, AI application assistance, AI campaign optimisation, AI promotion tools and future AI features introduced by FundMyMusic. The additional 2% platform fee on AI-Enhanced campaigns exists to help cover the ongoing cost of providing these services. A creator may upgrade a campaign from Standard to AI-Enhanced at any time; once a campaign is AI-Enhanced, it cannot be changed back to Standard. The published platform fee applies only to future contributions and does not affect transactions already completed.

Platform fees contribute towards the operation, maintenance, development and continued improvement of FundMyMusic, including optional AI-assisted promotional tools available to creators. Stripe’s payment processing fees are separate and remain subject to Stripe’s own published pricing.

17. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, the design, software, branding, graphics, text and other material forming part of FundMyMusic are the property of Tactus 360 Norge or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Creators retain ownership of the material they submit but grant FundMyMusic a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, reproduce and promote that material solely for the operation, promotion and administration of the platform and the relevant campaign.

Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of intellectual property belonging to either party.

18. Third-party services

FundMyMusic relies upon third-party service providers, including Stripe, to provide payment processing and other platform functions.

Your use of those services may also be subject to the terms, conditions and privacy policies of the relevant provider.

FundMyMusic is not responsible for the operation, availability, security or policies of third-party services.

19. Availability of the platform

FundMyMusic aims to keep the platform available at all times but does not guarantee uninterrupted, secure or error-free operation.

Maintenance, software updates, technical faults or circumstances beyond our reasonable control may occasionally affect the availability of the platform.

FundMyMusic reserves the right to modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the platform where this is reasonably necessary for operational, legal, technical or security reasons.

20. Disclaimer

FundMyMusic provides a platform through which creators and supporters may connect.

Although FundMyMusic may review campaign material for compliance with these Terms, we do not independently verify every statement made by creators, guarantee the accuracy of campaign content or warrant that any project will achieve its stated objectives.

Supporters should satisfy themselves that a project meets their expectations before making a financial contribution.

21. Relationship between creators and supporters

FundMyMusic provides the platform through which creators and supporters may connect but is not a party to the relationship between them.

Any decision to make or accept a contribution is made solely between the creator and the supporter.

Except where required by applicable law, FundMyMusic accepts no responsibility for agreements, promises or representations made between creators and supporters.

22. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Tactus 360 Norge shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, incidental or special loss or damage arising from the use of FundMyMusic.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law, including liability for fraud or wilful misconduct.

23. Indemnity

Creators agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tactus 360 Norge against any claims, losses, liabilities, costs or expenses arising from material submitted by the creator, infringement of third-party rights or any breach of these Terms.

24. Privacy

The collection, storage and processing of personal information is governed by the FundMyMusic Privacy Policy.

By using FundMyMusic, you acknowledge that personal information will be processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy and applicable data protection legislation.

25. Changes to these Terms

FundMyMusic may amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time.

Material changes will be published on the website and will apply from the effective date stated unless otherwise required by applicable law.

Continued use of the platform after revised Terms have come into effect constitutes acceptance of those changes.

26. Force majeure

FundMyMusic shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, civil unrest, industrial disputes, governmental action, interruption of telecommunications, cyber attacks, failures of third-party service providers or other events beyond our reasonable control.

27. Governing law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Norway.

Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Norwegian courts unless mandatory law provides otherwise.

28. Operator

FundMyMusic is owned and operated by Tactus 360 Norge, Norway.

These Terms and Conditions should be read together with the Privacy Policy and any other policies published on the FundMyMusic website.

Campaign funding periods and renewals

FundMyMusic campaigns operate in defined funding periods rather than remaining open indefinitely. This helps donors see that a project is being actively managed and that its information remains current.

Creators receive reminders before the current funding period ends. During the final seven days, or after a funding period has closed, the creator may renew the campaign for 30, 60 or 90 days by providing a progress update for supporters.

When the stated closing date passes, the campaign is marked Closed and new contributions are disabled until the creator completes a renewal. Renewal changes the end date, records the renewal date and publishes the creator’s progress update. It does not alter contributions already made.

Creators are responsible for keeping all project information and progress updates accurate, lawful and current. FundMyMusic may pause, close or remove a campaign where there is a serious concern or a breach of these Terms.
