Creating a project should be no more complicated than applying for a passport online: you provide the information required, work through the steps and submit your project. Approval takes a few minutes and then you’re ready to begin fundraising.
FundMyMusic is designed to make the process clear rather than complicated. You won’t be faced with endless pages of instructions, unnecessary features or a barrage of promotional messages. Our purpose is to provide a straightforward way of securing funding for a musical or cultural project.
If you’d like to see how it works before starting a real project, you can try our 10-minute trial campaign. It gives you the opportunity to work through the actual project-creation process without creating a real campaign or committing to anything.
Create
Tell us about your project, set your funding target and explain how the money will be used. You can add images, video and other material to help supporters understand what you are proposing.
If your project involves performances, lectures, exhibitions, research visits, tours or other events, you can also add the relevant locations to your project. FundMyMusic will display them on an interactive map, with each location linking directly back to your campaign. This gives supporters another way to see where your project is happening and what their contribution will help to make possible.
Launch
Once your project has been approved, it goes live on FundMyMusic. You can share it through your own networks, while people can also discover it through the FundMyMusic website.
Raise funds
Supporters contribute securely online. Funds are transferred to you as they are received, so you can begin or continue your project without waiting for a funding deadline. The applicable platform fee is deducted only from the contributions you receive.
Keep supporters informed
Keep your supporters involved as your project develops. Share updates about rehearsals, research, performances, publications, recordings and other milestones, giving supporters the opportunity to see the progress their contribution is helping to make.

Every proposed post is sent to you for review before publication. You may edit the wording, request a different version or simply skip it. Nothing is ever published without your approval.
